Previaje returns 50% of the expenses made in the tourism sector -one of the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic- for advance purchases, that is, made until December 31 of this year.

Last year some 600,000 tourists and 13,000 service providers used the program, injecting $15 billion into the sector and, according to government data, protecting 300,000 jobs. Likewise, official data revealed that in the first edition 50% of the expenses incurred were in travel agencies, 40% in accommodation and < b> 9% in transportation mainly in the provinces of Río Negro, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Tierra del Fuego and Mendoza.

Beyond the positive numbers of the 2020/2021 season, this year the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, headed by Matías Lammens, expects a context of greater openings and a situation favorable epidemiological analysis as a result of the impetus that the vaccination campaign has taken against Covid-19 throughout the country.

The program grants credit for the advance purchase of tourism sector services and allows the money to be used later, once on the trip or after it. When the purchase is made, tickets must be uploaded on the official website of Previaje to receive the benefit.

The returned money can be used from November 1 -depending on the purchase- and until December 31, 2022 inclusive, so the time range to spend the travel credit is wide.

All tourist services marketed by registered providers generate credit and, depending on consumption, up to $100,000 can be accessed for each person over 18 years of age who enters proof of purchase in the system.

The credit may be used at any provider in the tourism sector throughout the country. It is not necessary for the provider to be enrolled in PreViaje, they only have to belong to the tourism items enabled by the program and have a posnet to be able to charge with a card (if they have a physical card) or to be able to generate the QR (in case of using the BNA+ Virtual Wallet). 1. PROVIDERS

It should be considered that providers -those who offer tourist services- must pre-register for the program so that the beneficiaries can access this. It is necessary to pay attention to this point since in the case of making a purchase in a non-member business and/or company, Previaje will not apply to generating credit or spending it.

The same website highlights this: "It is important to note that consumers will not be able to prove their receipts until the registration of the providers is confirmed ".

In addition, providers must be registered with the AFIP and "be up to date with the corresponding qualifications and registrations in national, provincial and/or municipal registries".

2. DATE OF TRAVEL AND RESERVATION

The Previaje program is in great demand throughout the country and purchases must be made in advance to obtain the corresponding credit according to the date of travel. This is how every beneficiary who wishes to access must be clear when they will go on vacation in order to book quickly -mainly on the most requested dates of the year such as January- and thus be able to receive the benefit.

The same site of the program asks when registering for the exact date of travel since this defines until what date you can upload the receipts of purchase and when can you start using the credit once at the destination.

In addition, if you want to vacation on "hot dates", that is, in the high season that runs between January and February, it is advisable to reserve the services to use -stay, transportation, excursions- as far in advance as possible since, especially on those dates, Pre-Travel services usually sell out quickly.

3. SERVICES

Not all services that give credit in Previaje have the same maximum amount: those that generate larger expenses, such as travel, accommodation or travel agency services , grantup to $100,000 cash back per purchase. Meanwhile, the "smaller" expenses -entertainment, gastronomy, transportation in the place and excursions, among others- pay up to $5000 per purchase, always considering a return of 50% of the expenses.

As an example: if $15,000 is spent on entertainment and gastronomy (vouchers can be combined), the return will still be $5,000 and not $7,500 (50%) since the amount exceeds the maximum cap. On the other hand, if a disbursement of $80,000 is made during the stay, the return will be $40,000 (50%), since the maximum is not exceeded.

However, here is an option to receive even more credit: if the services of the group that includes lower value returns -excursions, car rentals, gastronomy, etc.- are booked through an agency of trips (included in the upper limit), then the refund can reach $100,000.

4. MONEY TO SPEND TO RECEIVE PREVIEW

Regarding the minimum amounts, the regulations establish that, to access the benefit, one must present one or more purchases totaling at least $10,000< /u> but all the invoices presented must prove expenses greater than $1000. To illustrate, one expense for $9,500 and another for $500 cannot be charged to the sector since the latter cannot be considered.

5. COMPANIONS

The benefits granted within the Pre-Trip will have a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $100,000 per person over 18 years of age. If a family group is made up of several people over the age of 18, each member may generate a benefit as long as the invoice is issued in their name.

6. USE OF CREDIT

After entering the receipts into the system and the refund has been approved, the credit will be loaded on the day the trip begins on a Preloaded Card granted by Banco Nación or in its virtual wallet (BNA+).

The money can be used both on the same trip and on others to be made in the future until December 31, 2022. It can also apply to certain services such as gastronomy or entertainment in the area where you usually reside, so once you have made the trip the credit can also be used at home.

HOW TO ACCESS
