The Financial Superintendence of Colombia (SFC) revealed the most recent figures of the financial system. According to the entity, in November 2021 the banks reached profits of $11.7 trillion, a higher result than that reported in October of the same year (when it was $8.64 trillion) and November 2020 ($4.15 trillion).
National banks contributed $9.31 trillion (with an annual growth of 124.3%), and international banks contributed $1.70 trillion (+2,172.4%).
In the segment of credit establishments, banks were the ones that contributed the most profits, followed by financial corporations with profits of $1.88 trillion; financing companies ($172,779 million) and financial cooperatives ($89,388 million).
And in November, the total solvency of credit institutions was 21.72%. By type of entity, banks registered a total solvency level of 20.20%, for financial corporations the figure was 57.33%; financing companies closed with 19.70% and financial cooperatives reported a solvency of 38.27%.
Thus, the total profits for the entire Colombian financial system in November 2021 was $52.07 trillion.
