SPYAutumn trends set a style pattern for which even wide pants will be worn inside the boots, according to the catwalk

2021 is another fall in which high boots are once again one of the most popular footwear of the season. One of its main assets is the versatility it presents when it comes to dressing visually stylizing the legs. Among all its possible stylistic combinations, one is once again a trend. It is not ubiquitous, but it is repetitive: the pants are worn inside the boots again. It is the trend that we have seen in skinny jeans between the proposals of Celine or Nili Lotan, who advocated tight jeans combined with cowboy boots or with a western-inspired look. High flat boots also work, as Philosophy di Lorenzo makes clear, using everything from jeans to red leather pants.
But high boots don't live only in skinny pants. Signatures show that it can also be a good styling trick to apply in terms of tailoring. At least that's what Ralph Lauren does in her fall collection, in which she visually fuses boots with tucked-in pants thanks to their shared plaid pattern. Longchamp also uses this motif in a black and white look that is combined with high burgundy boots and a contrasting leather jacket.
In 2021 there is no middle ground: even wide pants are worn inside. It is the proposal of Victoria Beckham, who gives a twist to the Canadian tuxedo by combining a denim shirt with wide pants and high boots of the same denim fabric, although somewhat darker. That the trouser leg protrudes above the edge of the boot is a detail that can also be seen in Dorothee Schumacher's fall collection.
One of the most extreme versions is that of Saint Laurent. Already in its prefall 2021 collection, the French house opted for a version of XL high boots whose shaft reached up to the thigh. A daring variation that they combined with a jacket suit and that they use again in their autumn collection. On this occasion, the proposal goes through high and wide boots that are combined with black pants and garments with a seventies aesthetic. Impossible not to remember the type of chaps that even Beyoncé has turned into jeans and that are ascribed to the western aesthetic this year.
