The Colombian government extradited this Friday to the United States Elkin Javier López Torres, alias 'Doble Rueda', a drug trafficker requested by a court in that country for crimes related to cocaine trafficking. Justice Minister Wilson Ruiz said in a statement that Lopez was extradited "to face the District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on charges of conspiracy to import cocaine" into the United States.
