A very elegant Alejandra Conde in black and white, with a serious face, her hair tied back, looks at the camera. She wears a shirt dress tied at the waist and sandals. We are on the website where the designer Miguel Palacio sells his exquisitely crafted items. A professional reinvention for which he decided to partner in 2018 with the daughter of Mario Conde. Both have known each other since she commissioned her wedding dress, and what was a friendly relationship was consolidated these three years in a fruitful business relationship. Until the disagreement arrived that has led to a complaint by Miguel Palacio.

The well-known banker Mario Conde could not repress his pride in his daughter on his social networks, and in several posts he praised the step he took in embarking on this new project: "His main wish is to contribute to the promotion of the fashion and design company in that they are involved in. The truth is that you have to be brave in these times that we live in to embark on business adventures in times of uncertainty. But, well, it must be true that like a splinter is like that. Of course with quality and good work can lead to a deserved victory", he wrote in one of them.

The balance of the company in which Palacio put the ideas and Conde the capital, Corona Luxury, was positive in the first year of activity (2019), in his case only eleven months, something unusual in debuting companies. The 2020 accounts have not been made public. Although they started out as an accessories firm made in Elche, they later launched a collection of timeless 'prêt-à-porter' garments made in Spain, at affordable prices. As she herself explained in 'La Razón', her idea was to penetrate the market through her network of contacts among style references such as Eugenia Osborne, Vega Royo-Villanova, Alejandra de Rojas, Lourdes Montes or María de Lion.

Fashion is just one of the sectors in which Alejandra has been involved throughout her professional career. Real estate, tourism, event organization, natural dietetics and family businesses mark out a prolific curriculum. As her father says, again in networks: "My daughter's physical beauty shocks me. But it is contingent. My pride as a father is born from his courage, bravery, determination, control of fear, sympathy, will to win and more attributes. She knows that she is a Count. And from her mother she inherited the most difficult thing for a woman: to be a Lady".

Other positions in family businesses have been added to that curriculum. At the end of October, she was appointed sole administrator of Los Carrizos de Castilblanco SA, whose main shareholder is a company based in the Netherlands and which was previously managed by her father. Since the end of 2020, Alejandra is also officially the sole administrator of Las Salcedas SA. This company was founded by her father in 1984 and is dedicated to agricultural production combined with livestock production. In its day, the company took the name of one of Mario Conde's emblematic estates, Las Salcedas, 2,800 hectares between the mountains of Ciudad Real and Toledo, which today is owned by the Villar Mir Group.

These companies had not shown signs of life in a few years but now they seem to be revitalized. In the case of Las Salcedas, last year the registration sheet was reopened and its accounts were updated, with Alejandra as the new administrator. We then consulted with the businesswoman's environment to find out if behind these movements the family had any new project in the making, such as natural dietetics or high-quality olive oil. "The company has always been active -they explained-, there has only been a change of administrator due to the cessation of the previous one". They added that Alejandra's step to the front is "an ordinary procedure" and confirmed that she did not have "any new project" planned.

Until Palacio's complaint, the family was experiencing a period of calm (coronavirus apart) after the shock caused in 2016 by the arrest of the banker, his two children, Mario and Alejandra, and his son-in-law Fernando Guasch for allegedly repatriating 13 million euros from Banesto. They were accused of crimes against the public treasury, money laundering and criminal organization. Alejandra Conde was considered 'co-director of the plot'. That same year, Conde's daughter was facing the illness of a very loved one. "I have many things to thank the judge for," she assured Alejandra in an interview with 'Vanity Fair' last year, remembering that she allowed her to serve her house arrest and attend the communion of her son.

After several months studying the case, the National High Court ordered its final closure, leaving all precautionary measures without effect. The expert, appointed at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, assured in his report that the money moved by Conde did not come from Banesto or from illegal activities, and considered it proven that it came from two businesses that the former banker carried out in the 1980s with Antibióticos SA and with Abello Laboratories.

Alejandra then returned to her professional activity as a real estate consultant and to collaborate with her father in the business of her house. In June 2018, she was appointed director of another family business, Industrias Mecánicas de Precisión SA, dedicated to the manufacture of parts and accessories for motor vehicles. And in addition to her, the Miguel Palacio thing arose, a project that had her captivated and occupied a good part of her time. She to the point of overcoming shyness and becoming a model for the firm.
