The Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities has approved granting aid to 14 business projects in Huelva worth 182,699 euros within the framework of the Program for Industrial Development, Improvement of Competitiveness, Digital Transformation and Job Creation in Andalusia, corresponding to the year 2021, managed by the IDEA Agency. The fifth and last provincial commission for the evaluation of the program, belonging to the year 2021, has given the go-ahead to these incentives that will mobilize a total investment of 406,883 euros and allow the maintenance of 192 jobs.

The territorial delegate for Employment, Training, Self-Employment, Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, Antonio Augustín, who has chaired this commission, has highlighted "the agility of the IDEA Agency in Huelva when studying and assessing the projects presented , which has enabled us to approve 57 projects throughout 2021 and provide a faster response to companies that have requested these incentives, which will allow them to implement more and better services for their clients”.

In this way, Augustín wanted to recall that "the objective of this aid order from the Board is to favor the strengthening of local industry, the creation and growth of companies that generate employment and the promotion of productive innovation in the areas of intelligent specialization and the incorporation of advanced services for business management, business revitalization and cooperation”. In his opinion, this is "one more example of the Andalusian Government's firm commitment to Huelva's SMEs, key in supporting the local economy and employment".

Likewise, the delegate has recognized "the heroism, tenacity and daily effort of so many companies in the province to recover their normal activity and that they are maintaining activity and employment in these two years complicated by the Covid crisis". In this sense, he has pointed out that "this is the case of the 14 projects presented by the 12 SMEs that are going to receive this aid, which are the ones that take risks and need immediate aid to move forward."

The economic support for these business projects will allow the acquisition of different materials and the installation of new machinery to improve processes, quality and increase the productivity of Huelva companies.

These projects are encouraged through the lines of Digital Transformation and Improvement of Business Competitiveness. The first will allow the implementation of new wireless technologies in television broadcasts for live signals, management and control systems for human resources departments or the creation of corporate websites and online stores. Also the incorporation of technological systems for teleworking and promoting social distancing among company workers.

In the line of Improvement of Business Competitiveness, the measures for the acquisition of equipment and new machinery for the production of bread in an establishment dedicated to the manufacture of traditional bread and thus being able to improve productivity, as well as for the acquisition of material and tools stand out. for the improvement in repair processes of metallic equipment and pipes

171 Huelva projects with 5.7 million in incentives So far, the province of Huelva has accounted for 167 beneficiary companies and 171 business projects approved within the framework of the Industrial Development Program call, which represents a business investment of 14.4 million euros and 5.7 million euros in incentives, which allow maintaining 360 jobs and creating 63 new jobs. This program is developed within the framework of the Global Competitiveness-Innovation-Employment Grant of Andalusia 2014-2020, integrated into the Andalusian FEDER Operational Program 2014-2020, co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund.

Finally, to these aids are added those approved by the IDEA Governing Council addressed to the Provincial Councils through the Localiza+In Program, resulting in ten actions approved in the municipalities of Aracena, Bollullos Par del Condado, Cortelazor, Higuera de la Sierra, San Bartolomé de la Torre, San Juan del Puerto, Valverde del Camino and San Silvestre de Guzmán. The approved subsidy amounts to 1.42 million euros. This program aims to promote viable business projects that are installed in innovative spaces in Andalusia.
