Can you imagine having a stellar moment in recent NBA history in digital format like the trading cards from when we were kids? Jordan's last shot? Carry's triples? Doncic's one-legged shot in Memphis? Or something that belongs to the best sports memorabilia of him or even serves as an avatar? And that this possession became part of a valuable collection that was gaining value over time.

Do you remember the mate with which LeBron James honored Kobe Bryant? That play, the first digital edition of that mate converted into 'Top shot', the non-tangible product (NFT, in English) that the NBA already markets, reached a value of 71,555 dollars. As in so many other things, the NBA leads the NFT boom with sales of around 250 million dollars. Now, in Spain, NS18 is born, the first European platform focused on the world of sports that will launch its first digital collectibles this April.

NS18 has reached more than 30 agreements with stars from the NBA, LaLiga and the ATP to market their collectibles. The company based in Valencia will not only offer a space to athletes to sell valuable digital products. It also puts digital artists in contact, who will be able to offer their works in numerous formats backed by blockchain technology.

El deporte como obra de arte digital, el millonario negocio del futuro al alcance de todos

Javier Arrés has already sold works worth half a million euros. He is a European reference among digital artists. Rubén Blanco, CEO of NS18, believes that the team that Arrés and the athletes who dare to form can form "is going to make history, it is a before and after. Our commitment is the importance we give to the athlete and the artist, who will have an economic benefit whenever a transaction is made".

Fenerbahçe star and former Real Madrid player Mesut Ozil has launched his own digital clothing range for fans to dress up their own avatars of him. The German international's collection consisted of six virtual items, he partnered with the technology company Genies and became the first athlete to sell digital products for users to customize their 3D avatars, from social networks to text messages . The collection generated more than $500,000 in sales.

NS18 will serve as a platform for the process of selling digital 3D statuettes, animated micro videos, animated gifts, highlights, digitized sports products (medals, sneakers, stadium models), images along with digitized audio. "We have closed agreements with renowned players from the League, the NBA and the ATP. NFTs are a technology that will help all athletes or sports organizations to add new economic income," says Jon Fatalevich, co-founder of NS18.
