The bill seeks the prohibition of the use of animals for the performance of safety and efficacy tests of cosmetic products, hygiene and personal odorization, considering all its ingredients and formulations.
Likewise, it prohibits the sale, marketing, import and introduction in the National Market of Cosmetic Products, Hygiene and Personvalidity of the law.
“This initiative has the support of several key actors of the ecosystem: the Chamber of Chilean Cosmetics, organizations that work for the rights of animals, deputies of various political sectors, and with the support of the Institute of Public Health.We trust that you will soon see progress in the Chamber of Deputies in Plenary, ”said Daniela Benavides Sánchez, director of HSI Chile.
