Cristina Rodríguez is one of our most renowned national stylists. At her splendid 50 years, she has been working in the sector for 25 years, although it was not until very recently that she has put a face on it. She is clear that it goes with her profession: "We television technicians are not known to us."
.
Cristina Rodríguez is the stylist behind the wardrobe for the Elite series. Asphalt stylist, it is impossible for her to get off her heels and not put on a sequin, even if she is going to shoot in the countryside..."Every time we go to a shoot in the countryside I stamp myself. I am the worst in the world and to my I tell my colleagues, I prefer to go to the Bronx and have those from the Bronx tell me things rather than come to the countryside. For nature I am the worst," explains Rodríguez herself. In fact, he hasn't put on any sneakers until, one day, to see, he almost dared to propose it to Sprinter, seeing is believing. Of course, and when he put them on, he realized "how comfortable these shoes are."
She is like that, discreet like herself: "Furthermore, I always go inappropriate. It seems unbelievable that doing costumes I always go inappropriate, always inappropriate (he emphasizes). When there is a funeral I wear red or gold, always inappropriate" ...

However, she has exquisite taste in choosing costumes for series and movies, or for someone other than her, because yes -you may be thinking- she is that actress who for the 2017 Goyas wore a dress that was half long and the other half, another short model. And all this, because she does not stitch without a thread, and she opted for two Goyas in the category of Best Costume Design for her work in the films 'Don't blame karma for what happens to you as an asshole' and 'Late for anger '.
We wanted to talk with her about what attracts her attention from a person who is first dressed and, of course, from Queen Letizia, since this last week she has been the undisputed protagonist of the glossy role due to her outings and perches in Palma de Mallorca since she is one of the most followed people, criticized and admired in equal parts, with every step she takes and of course, with everything she wears.
Who is the woman you like the most in terms of style?
There is always an emotional component. I am zero mythomaniac so I always like people I know. I adore Maribel Verdú and I love her. She seems like a super stylish aunt to me, she seems to me one of the actresses who is always ideal and that sometimes she goes super everyday and is ideal. And then for me, Marisa Paredes. She puts on a dress and it's also perfect. Agatha, I'm very amused that she's wearing a dress with the Spanish flag, oh! And it doesn't mean that it has anything to do with politics... That she's going to sign the divorce papers with a burqa, olé you!
And then Letizia approached her to ask him.
And I don't know what to tell you about influencers like that... They all look the same to me. I am interested in being told things, that they tell me things with their clothes, with their attitude. That thing about being just cute and that about taking your picture... Do you feel like having a coke with me? Well no... I think it's that I'm too old, I think it's a time problem, I don't feel like wasting time with people.

Maribel Verdú is a hard-working aunt. I adore her, I love her. She is super educated, has an interesting conversation, super involved and interests me, and a great friend of her friends. So I want those people in my life.
I'm sure you've never been asked that before. What do you think of Letizia?
I find it amusing. It's funny from the beginning, the one about 'Let me speak please'. I think that she, after all the controversy about the slap, this, the other, would have to put the world on a bit of a montera and do what she wants a little, which has already shown that it is correct. She will have had a mishap like all of us have had in life, but she would have to be more relaxed. It seems ideal to me, a bit classical for me, but of course whatever she wears is criticized, if she wears a skirt below the knees, if it stands out... She is always criticized.
Some design that caught your attention.
I liked the one of Lorenzo Caprile when she was engaged, with that red dress. I like that stunning Letizia. And why can't it go stunning? I'm hot. I'm doing sports all day and I have to cover myself. Come on! Well then, don't play sports because if I do sports all day it will be to teach it. At least I... There are those who tell you: "It's not for you, it's for you!", but let them look at you, right? But? It doesn't hurt me. I don't know her at all, but I think she's too hard on herself. I think that's the problem.
And the winks the Queen winks when she goes places?
I think it's something we all do. You don't dress the same if you go to eat at Pablo Casado's house than if you go to Pablo Iglesias' house. Well, just like I always go inappropriate. And it is not frivolous to think about a look, it is that you have to think about them. When you think about buying a lamp for your house, is it frivolous? Is it frivolous to think about a sofa or when you buy a car?
What does fashion represent for you in terms of expression, in terms of attitude?
For me, fashion is telling stories, you tell who you are and how you are. When I go to give talks in companies I tell them that when they arrive to do an interview in the first minute they have already made a value judgment and it gives the impression that you want to give because as you give another and you can be screwed, because maybe just you have a minute or two. Give the impression you want to give. If you want to be creative, come across as creative. Do you want to be responsible? Do you want to be serious? Give the image.
