The video of a young woman who denounced that she was not allowed to enter a clothing store for being in a wheelchair caused outrage in Venezuela.

User Kelly Ayary published on her Twitter account a clip, which already has almost 300.000 Visualizations, where he explains what happened: "I was going to buy and they ran me because you cannot go into a wheelchair people in a wheelchair cannot enter Balú".

According to what the young woman wrote in El Trino, which is located in the first places of trends in the social network, the act of discrimination occurred in the Balú store, located in the Propatria Shopping Center, a popular area of western Caracas.

The store laments what happened

A day after what happened, the store published a statement where it affirms that "categorically rejects any discriminatory act" and that "deeply" regrets that the entrance to Kelly Ayary has been forbidden.

What does the law say?

In Venezuela, since 2006, there is law for people with disabilities, whose objective is to "regulate the means and mechanisms to guarantee the integral development of people with disabilities in a full and autonomous way, according to their abilities".

In the same way, the Venezuelan Constitution includes in its article 81 that "every person with disabilities or special needs is entitled to the full and autonomous exercise of their capacities and their family and community integration" ".
