The daughters of María Teresa Campos, Terelu Campos (1965) and Carmen Borrego (1966), have always maintained a relationship full of comings and goings. With little more than a year of difference between the two, they assure that during their childhood they were very close and that they even shared the same gang of friends. But over time the sisters have been involved in clashes that have made it clear that no family is perfect. Although the cordiality and union between them has always ended up prevailing.

One of her biggest controversies occurred after Carmen gave an interview in which she acknowledged feeling "publicly alone". She also assured that Terelu "conditions the interviews" because every time she has granted one she "has fallen a lot" for her answers. Faced with these statements, her older sister was quick to reply: "I got upset and went to talk to her," she confessed. "I expressed my pain fundamentally for not understanding that she says that I do not defend her," continued Terelu, for whom "the family comes first." "Deep down she knows that I wouldn't let them touch her..." she sentenced. This makes it clear that her union is always important. In fact, Terelu herself has shown on some occasions that despite her anger, her sister comes first. This was the case, for example, when in 'Sálvame okupa', Payasín threw Carmen, which caused her injuries because she had just had a double chin operation. In this sense, her sister defended her from her criticism in 'Save me', assuring that her 'tartazo' had hurt her "in many ways, not just physically". In fact, she did not even want to see the video where they threw the cake at her sister. But Payasín's controversy did not end there. After enduring criticism of her sister, Terelu took off the microphone and left the set in tears.

Terelu also stood up for her sister in another program, when Kiko Hernández attacked Carmen. At her words, the eldest of the Campos faced him. "There are times that I don't know if you realize, or it doesn't matter to you, that you suddenly rush and step on the accelerator, taking people ahead of you," she reproached the collaborator. Finally, Kiko Hernández's harsh criticism of Carmen made Terelu break down and cry. But if there is something we have been able to observe over the years in the relationship between the Campos, it is that all that glitters is not gold. Along with the beautiful fraternal moments they have also experienced other controversies. One of these occurred in the 'Poli Deluxe' that Borrego faced. When asked "Do you think that Terelu has managed to be a presenter thanks to your mother?" Carmen answered no. However, the polygraph confirmed that she was lying. In another of her answers, the youngest of the sisters stated that she believed that her mother is more concerned about many things about Terelu and that she thinks that she is her favorite. An answer that according to the polygraph was true. All these statements made Terelu very angry. So much so, that the two began one of the strongest discussions in memory, and that they even continued in the corridors during advertising. However, during this relationship of comings and goings for years, it has become clear to us that the daughters of María Teresa Campos, as soon as they shout at each other on set as they show their love to the audience. An example that despite her confrontations they remain very close, is Carmen's unconditional support for Terelu since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Her sister was with her throughout the process, in which she had to undergo several operations. Currently, they say they are still very close. In fact, they emphasize that they talk continuously and that if at any time they get angry "we are to yell at each other about everything and the minute we pretend that nothing has happened."
