Gianulli is a renowned fashion designer who owns his signature Mossimo. The main sales of him were made in massive clothing chains – an example in Mexico is Suburbia – from the year 2000 to 2017, according to the news portal The Hollywood Reporter. and his aesthetic was always inspired by street style and the beach.

Born and raised in Southern California, the designer founded his namesake label in 1986 after he borrowed $100,000 from his father. Giannulli is trained as an architect, but after founding his company he dropped out of university. His men's signature was inspired by streetwear and his brightly colored shorts became one of his most iconic pieces. Already in the nineties, the brand began to produce wool sweaters and sweatshirts and added a line of women's clothing.

It was not until 2006 that Mossimo Giannulli sold the brand to Iconix Brand Group and distributes its clothing to Australia, Mexico, Europe, Japan among others. In September 2018, Mossimo collaborated with The Simpsons and currently continues to make designs designed for streetwear.
