Something personal

"Civil War" could not be branded in another way that was not a resounding and absolute success.Get everything that is proposed in an outstanding way, placing the focus of interest where at the exact moment, exciting, intrigued and jumping from the show to the viewer throughout the film.However, if you had to point out a main cause for which the movie shines as your characters are.

The film takes the vital comic (the premise and certain key events) and eliminates the bad characterization of that arch, where all the characters are distorted to the extreme to make it credible and replace it with the classical version, which we have learned to loveThroughout many films.In the Russo tape no one is complete right, nobody is the villain (understand this among the heroes), and your sympathies fall (finally and really) in your moral and political convictions.Both sides have strong arguments in their favor with what to place, and you can empathize with both, but we must not be wrong: they are opposite sides, each with very different ideas from what justice must be.

Chris Evans is crowned as Captain America in a film that, we do not make mistakes, revolves around him.He moves like Captain America, he speaks like Captain America and his suit is that of Captain America.The vital experience through which the captain himself is not less than what we saw in the winter soldier, and we have several moments of great intensity for Steve Rogers.A great performance with which Evans can proudly say that his version is one of those definitive versions, where it is impossible to separate the character from the character.

However, and although my personal loyalties are with the cap, I must say that I have been absolutely impressed by Iron Man, in a way that I had never done before.Robert Downey Jr.He gives us a Tony Stark full of nuances, who (finally!) Reaches his maturity.Finally we see Stark naked from that layer of self -sufficiency, of constant jokes to protect himself, and with a humanity with which the homonymous comic never dared to dream.The center of the film is the cap, but Iron Man is not far behind.

The rest of the characters are surprisingly well taken, and this is where the shared universe does its function: great explanations are not needed, great monologues to understand what their motives are, but in a few phrases you understand why they are placed on that side of The struggle.Everyone shines, everyone has their great moment and you never feel that a character has been betrayed or left aside.Among these Titans, two new stars are raised.On the one hand we have to talk about black panther (why they left the name in English in the movie is something that escapes me), which is a traced version of the vignettes.Chadwick Boseman plays an honorable t’challa, but with a great anger, and as a black panther it is insurmountable.The suit, the movements, the stealth ... generates a lot to watch your individual movie.

And well, Spider-Man.Before entering the room, my desire to see this new spidey will match, or even overcome, the movie as a whole.The fear that there was another version of Spider-Man instead of the definitive version of the character was something that filled me with anguish.After having seen the movie, and even with a short time on the screen, I can say that it is not like that: Tom Holland gives us, in its brief appearance, the best Peter Parker/Spider-Man that we have ever had.He is intelligent, he has charisma, his relationship with his aunt is adequate, he does not stop talking ... and also moves like Spider-Man.The suit, in addition, is another world.Even with some details that bother me (what those strips of black?), All of him has the feeling of being a suit designed by the legendary John Romita.However, they have the perfect ingredients to give us a great spidey movie.Marvel, don't bother.

A monster that could be you

As I commented on the entradilla to this news, the film promised not only to be a civil adaptation, but also a sequel to "The Winter Soldier".Well, they have not only addressed this successfully, but it is something that catches surprise, since it is a plot that we have not seen absolutely anything in the trailers.And all of it can be summed up with a single name: Helmut Zemo.

Zemo's inclusion was very afraid, since I could point to a cliché reconciliation to end a major threat.Fortunately, the film does not go for those paths and gives us Marvel's most unique villain.Zemo's role is not a small script turn reserved for the end, but its presence is explained throughout the film, to the point that it develops in parallel to the registration act.

Daniel Brühl plays a zemo more similar to that of the vignettes of what we might think, and follows the line of what Alexander Pierce in the winter soldier, although in very different ways, although in very different ways.This Zemo flees from the grandiloquences, is Sibilino, and, above all, tremendously human.As a negative note, I think that an aspect more similar to the comic since, in spite.Placing that aside, Zemo becomes part of the list of the good villains of Marvel Studios, placing himself outstanding at the top.

War battles

"Captain America: Civil War" is the movie that has to be, that we need to be, and that is so because of its rhythm: the movie never bores, but you never feel that I go to everything rag.Moreover, the film focuses on its own story, without making the mistake of advancing future films because, frankly, it is not necessary.The best hitch to continue watching this universe is that this movie is as good as it is.

The script and assembly of the film are a real jewel that cannot be overlooked.The debate that opens is clear and is well raised, and the film does not fear at any time having long discussion scenes, where we always show us the point of view of each of the Avengers.It is a film that is mature without pretending it, without having any way, simply because of the topics that it raises naturally.Because that is the key issue: naturalness.This is the logical step to be followed by these characters, after what was seen in previous movies.None of these discussions feel forced, or as unnecessary exhibition.That does not mean that the film has no humor, that it has it, but rather it is in minimal quantities, at specific times, since in general it continues with the sobriety of "the winter soldier".The center of this film is the interaction and discussion between characters, although I find it brilliant that they never forget that they are characters that until doing nothing fighting side by side.That ideological rupture is the story to tell and the Russo know it.

But that does not mean that there is no action on this tape, because it arrives and does so in spectacular doses.We already know that the team involved in this film knows how to roll action greatly, but this is literally another level.From the most intimate battles to the greatest.And well, at the risk of sounding cliché, then there is the airport scene.An absolutely spectacular battle, which does not resemble anything we have seen before.A true visual delight, which looks like an authentic splash-to the comics.A scene so absolutely overwhelming in terms of scale that it is difficult for criticism for lack of characters in this film to continue.This is Civil War in all its splendor.

Unfortunately, and although they are the least, Marvel has not won all the battles of this great war, being the great black point a quite forgettable soundtrack.At no time do we hear the memorable theme of Captain America of Silvestri (of the best in the entire Marvel factory), not even the fanfare of the Avengers.The truth is that it is only a technical aspect, but that the great work of the rest of this film's team detracts at times.Without a doubt, the aspect in which Marvel Studios must work the most.

Conclusions

"Captain America: Civil War" is, as I said, Marvel's biggest bet to date, and is a clearly winning bet.In the opinion of the writing these lines, not only gets the best Marvel movie to date, but closes the best superheroic trilogy of all time.

The film gets what he wants at all times, he is adult and absolutely funny.It has real consequences for this universe and is a master class on how to adapt a comic without the need to calculate vignettes, taking the best of it and eliminating the bad, using the most classic and recognizable versions of these characters.With this finished war, a much larger scale is approaching, but at least we already know that it is in the most capable hands.For me, that it arrives already.We are waiting for her.
