Bertín Osborne was interviewed by Pablo Motos in 'El Hormiguero', the successful program on Antena 3.

The 66-year-old singer presented his new album, 'Forty years are few', with which he celebrates his 40-year musical career.

"It has eight unpublished songs that I have worked on in the pandemic. I had not composed since before the rancheras," explained Bertín Osborne about his new album.

"In the past, as I traveled a lot to America, I put on my headphones and wrote records on planes. Now I haven't gone for two years, so I do it at home," Bertín Osborne revealed about his way of composing after four decades in music .

Bertín Osborne began his interview with Pablo Motos strong, giving him a loud bang before his millionaire audience on Antena 3: "You don't change anything on the set, you don't spend the money because everything is the same."

"The glasses give you an intellectual touch... I didn't know that in the opticians they make your glasses to measure, like a suit," Bertín Osborne told the presenter, changing third gear.

"Now I have progressive glasses, but I spent a week saying that they were progressive, and nobody corrected me because they thought I was joking, but it wasn't like that, I was wrong," Pablo Motos confessed sympathetically.

Bertín Osborne confessed to Pablo Motos that he attended the program at a difficult time in his life: "Yesterday my best friend Mercedes Domecq Ybarra (widow of the rejoneador Fermín Bohórquez Escribano) died. It's a complicated day. I'm very screwed, but this morning I I got up and said what Mercedes would do if she saw me in that situation, she would surely tell me to go out and have a good time, that's why I have this smile".

Bertín Osborne, who is 66 years old, told Pablo Motos why at one point in his long professional career he had to dedicate himself to making soap operas: "I had never seen a soap opera in my life, but I lived in Miami and I was stiff, I didn't get to at the end of the month. A friend of mine told me that Televisa had called us to do a soap opera, but he didn't know they were so long, after three months I asked the director if he could kill me, I managed to get a car thrown off me by a cliff. Mexico is the most magical country in the world."
