HomeProfessionalElectronic commerceThis is how it works «Prime try first, pay later»: The new Amazon service By Arantxa Tech -FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsAppLinkedin
The service, which launched in the United States in 2018, already has more than 10 million items, ranging from small local designers to big brands like Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein. If you are interested in getting to know him in depth, keep reading. Here's how it works so you can get the most out of it.
Prime Try first, pay later is an exclusive program for Amazon Prime members, through which you can try on a series of clothing and footwear for women, men, children and babies before buying them. You have a week to try them on at home, and at the end you will only be charged for those products that you want to keep.
This new service will allow you to choose between 6 garments from a wide catalog. You will recognize if that specific garment falls within this modality, because you will see the phrase Prime Try first, pay later next to the purchased product. There are some 10 million items available, both from well-known brands and lesser-known designers.
Basically, if you are a member of Amazon Prime, once you choose a garment that is part of this service, you will receive the package at your address the next day and you will have 7 days to try on all the clothes. Once you decide what you want to keep, all you have to do is go to the “My orders” page and mark the products you want to keep and the ones you want to return.
To return those products that you do not want to keep, use the same package in which the clothes arrived. And the same prepaid label. Logically, you can return everything without any additional cost. Of course, Amazon advises that those products that you wish to return must have their labels and be in their original packaging, including hangers, bags, shoe boxes, dust protection bags and gift boxes. The products must not have been worn or washed, and must not have any damage.
Another detail to keep in mind is that if you forget to process the order during the 7-day trial period, Amazon will charge you for all the products in the order at the end of the trial period. If you had already mailed the return items to them at the time you made this charge, you won't need to do anything. They will refund your money automatically when they receive the returned products.
And what if you want to return something after the 7-day trial period has passed? Amazon will take the payment, but you will have 30 days from the end of the trial period to return what you want. It should be noted that if you have lost the original packaging, you can use another one. The same with the label that is attached. If you lose it, you can print another one and see the instructions in My orders and then in “View return label and instructions”.
Print the label and stick it on the package. Then send the clothes you don't want by regular mail from the delivery point that is most convenient for you. Or choose an alternative return option in the My Orders section.
If you love this system and want to start enjoying it, you know, you just have to become an Amazon Prime member and locate the clothing and accessories that have the Prime phrase try first, pay later.
